Dear Reader,
This post is only for you. I firmly believe that you are reading each line attentively and surely will be active towards taking measures on what is being virtually conveyed to you.
We all are familiar with a famous maxim “Pen is mightier than the sword.” Here, I’m not talking verbally with my audience but I desperately want to share and express my thoughts through my writings. I’m just going to share my views on how can we remove mental health stigma from the society. Now the question arises that ‘How we will do this?’ or ‘What we have to do for being successful in our mission?’

Just hold on and let’s try to discover the answer of these questions.
Well…there are many factors like: unawareness about treatment of mental health issues, prejudices, and rigid negative beliefs, myths towards counseling and towards an individual who wants to get help of a counselor that encourages the stigma related with mental health issues.
People think that abnormal person needs counseling or a person who is getting counseling sessions is an abnormal person. Actually, it is not the fact. There are separate treatment procedures and mental asylums for mentally ill persons.
We have to understand that many times normal person like us need counseling and its okay not to be okay. We all face various kinds of problems like: anxiety, anger, stress and other psychological issues in day to day lives for which we need immediate counseling. So, don’t feel ashamed. Be courageous. It is better to take a step forward to deal with all these kinds of issues at a very initial level before turning them into a big hazard.

We pretend that we are very modern by our living standards but the bitter truth is that we are still very backward by our thoughts about mental health issues and counseling needs. We have to modify our thoughts about it. Most of the people in our society like to follow western life-style in order to maintain their living standards so why not we follow them in the context of awareness regarding psychological issues and counseling as well. As people consult counseling psychologists and counselors for their psychological problems in foreign countries,
Never bother about what people will say. We all pay attention to our physical health and consult a doctor without any hesitation then how can we take our mental health issues very lightly? We have to raise our voice. I can’t do it alone. Dear reader, I need your support. Please share this post as much as you can on instagram, facebook, whats app etc.
I truly believe that we will bring revolutionary positive changes into the rigid mindset of society towards counseling regarding mental health issues and a person who is mentally disturbed. I request to all to treat these kinds of people with the utmost care, patience and sensitivity because they need your support not your criticism. They need family support first but unfortunately there are many families who ignore the psychological issues of other family members. Instead of supporting them, they start criticizing them.

I hope that you all will definitely consider my views and will pay attention to the mental health issues and psychological issues of your family members and immediately will get the help of counselor. We are always ready to help you.
So, what are you waiting for? Perform your duty without any fear or shame and prove yourself as an aware and responsible citizen of India.
A big thank you for reading this post.
